Basically you want to get a length of down pipe from B&q,a length of water suction hose from Machinemart and a hole cutter. Then work it out,it's cheap and you'll get satifaction from doing it,going to do it on my sporti ;)

I purchased a 3inch safari snorkel top for about £28, and have used 3inch drain pipe down into 2 and a half inch wire supported heat proof hose.
Cut the snorkel of the air box and 2 and a half inch pipe will clamp straight on.
Made alluminium wrap around brackets and fixed to the door pillar.

I bought a series/defender snorkle off ebay for £60,
I curved the plate that usually fits onto the series/defender air intake hole,
curved it to fit onto the side of the scuttle board,
Drilled a hole through the scuttle board,
then fitted flexi-pipe from the air box, through the scuttle board, and fitted it to the inside of the plate.
All the other fittings for the clamping of the snorkle fitted the RRC O.K.
I hope this helps.
Not cheap cheap but a lot cheaper than buying a Mantec or Southdown.
Photos available if you pm me.
Cheers......
