I've owned a couple of SD1's, though not a Vitesse unfortunately :(
Dad used to be a Cortina man..... had a Mk1 1500, a Mk1 Lotus (technically a Consul), a mk2 1600 and a Mk3 1600 marshmallow. The last one was the softest, worst handling thing I've ever driven. Dreadful contraption!

No, but I had Escort Mk2
Popular Plus 1.3, not exactly a road burner, but I still had lots of fun!

My parents had a Cortina that my Grandad (mechanic & engineer) built for them out of to crashed damaged ones & it was done properly ;) I had a lovely Capri lazer 12 years ago which I modded to an inch of it's life :Pbut that got nicked & burnt out   :'( :'(still miss it now as it was just so much fun to drive but i'm not allowed to get another one :'(

I had a SD1 just like that with the front and rear spoiler. The engine was rather different though ;)
