would like to remove my 200 tdi and fit v8 to the lt77 gearbox.can anyone advise what parts i require as i like to get them all before i start. :?: :?:

The V8 won't fit straight to the box... there is a bit of a discussion about it here :

So you will either need to get a Longstick LT77 from a Range Rover, a conversion kit from someone like Ashcroft, or look at using something like an LT77 from a Discovery and modifying the seat box.

well it will have to be a conversion kit.i hope i can find one somewhere.i dont wont to change the box unless its for an auto.

why the change from tdi to v8? ru selling the tdi ?

WANT a v8 the tdi is just not quick enough.the tdi would be for sale after the transplant but it wouldn't be cheap as it would be complete with loads of new parts .

just a thought,why not sell your 90 & then buy a genuine V8 1 or 1 like this

When you have done the swap, please could you let me know what you want for the 200tdi, im not expecting to get it cheap if you have done loads to it.

whats the 200 tdi worth?? it would be complete with (deep breath)new allisport intercooler,silicon hoses,new radiator,new injectors,uprated alternator (new),new starter,gearbox etc.basically engine &box with all ancillaries.all got to go to make way for 3.9 and autobox.
Not looking for offers yet just an idea of it's worth so i can budget for more off my wish list ?
ment to mention it's done 100k and just had a new belt fitted

:cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: i want it ,the deal i had for my tdi with pump has just fallen through so ive got a tdi with 40k on the clock,just been rebuilt with new cam,head gasket etc all the bits & no pump to make it run :cry: :cry:

I reckon with everything there, you ought to be looking for around 1500 quid
