Hi Guys, I need a bit of advice here please ;)
The back end of my Disco is a bit low at the moment and I'm about to fit a tank guard which will undoubtedly make it sag a bit more, so I'm thinking either H/D rear springs is a possibility but don't want to make it a hard ride on the back, a one or two inch lift might be another way.
I already have 1 inch spacers fitted all round, so what is going to be my best option to achieve my aims? I only really want to lift the rear a bit so don't want to get a complete lift kit.
Over to you then :D

I had the same problem with old sagging springs,I fitted standard hight H/D springs with gas shocks all round. It now sits right in my oppinion and many people have asked me if it has had a lift.
The ride is firm (not hard) and the on road handling performance has been vastly improved.I tow horse boxes and car trailers occasionaly, and it tows very well.
I have lost some articulation off road but I think that is down to fitting new pollybrushes as well.
If you spend 90% of your time on the road and carry heavy loads then I would recomend them.

personal opinion but if the tyres don't foul the body leave it. mine are stock and origional and work fine. not broken so why fix?

ive got britpart gaz shocks and spings hd x2 there good no sag either you could could go 1 inch hd on the back
and standard hd on the front that should do it

Rather than HD springs, try the police spec springs which MM4x4 do, I fitted some to a standard Disco and it has lifted it slightly and vastly improved the ride.
-
I did think about the police spec ones but wasn't sure what the ride would be like with them, I don't want a really hard ride when I'm on my own in the car.
-
Police spec are standard hight heavy duty springs. They are designed for all the kit a police range rover/disco has on board.
They sit at standard hight when they are loaded up or towing.

I have progressive springs on mine they work really well. The ride is great with them as was towing with them :)

I had HD springs on ASBO and they were really harsh on the road, the Police spec ones on 'Daisy' are much more comfortable and it seems to have lifted it approx 1" as well (unladen).

It all depends what use you are putting it to most of the time.
