Title: which dizzy

does anybody know which dizzy is in my range rover 3.9efi 90/91 as there seam to be different ones

It should be stamped with the numbers if you can clean it and use one of those small mirrors to read it, unless you have already removed it.

I thought all the V8 dizzy were a  35DM8 for the early EFI which had the amp on the side and the later ones 35dlm8, had a remote amp under the coil, which are supposed to be interchangable by altering the wiring to suit the car.

the 35dm8 has the amp module by the coil, the 35DLM8 has the amp module on the side and is what my 3.9 has, which I think came out of a 1990 motor.

High compression engines had the DLM8, low compression engine might have had the dm-8 with remote amplifier, these wereoften export spec models.
