In all seriousness, my Christmas tree lights stopped working shortly before Christmas last year and I discovered everywhere was sold out - but I did get an Easter egg in Tesco.  :-k

Won't be able to see who I'm shooting at on xbox call of duty if I did that.

AHH hang on a mo, do you need an antenna or dish to play on your gamesamuthingy?? or can you plug it in like a dvd player on a scart card - pardon my ignorance of such things - I don't watch telly at all - its used as a screen in my house and not much else!!

The licence fee is for possession of a receiver, not an arial. So if you have a functioning TV, you need a licence even if you don't use it to watch broadcast programmes.

Even if you have an old VCR lying around, technically, you need a licence because it is capable of receiving broadcast programmes!

On the other hand, if you start your shopping now then you don't have to fight through the inevitable scrum in December. Plus items posted now are likely to arrive in time!
