Title: BF Goodrich AT's
Post by: m0awb on September 24, 2009, 20:47:41
Greetings. Bloody long time no copy. It's been a very long time since I've been on here and even longer since you lot "Forced" me to take my brand new 110 round Tixover with less than 500 miles on the clock... Mrs didn't talk to me for a month.

Anyway, it's just clocked 100 times that now and I've started replacing the bits that are dropping off. My Brother-in-Law has decided he want's a Landy so last Saturday I took him to have a look around Nene Overland. It's that one visit that made me realize I'd been neglecting my baby. I hadn't washed or cleaned her out for two years and parking her amongst all those gleaming, shiny specimens really made me feel ashamed. So we left camp early on the Sunday and I spent ALL day, a good 8 hours cleaning her.

I've replaced all four mud flaps and started replacing all the hinge bolts with stainless ones. I might even get around to wiring up all my spotlights.

So, to get to the point, I quite fancy a set of those BF Goodrich AT tyres. 265/75/R16's to be exact.

At the moment she's fitted with factory standard 235 General Grabbers on Boost alloys rims. I'm well impressed with these tyres, they've done 50k and I bet there's another 30k left in them albeit the walls are begging to crack up a bit.

Will the 265's fit on my rims OK or will I need a wider set?  Chap at Nene Overland said they'd be fine but I'd like independent opinions.

And why can't I see any of the galleries?

I have 265/75/16's fittted to my 110
They have (to 1 1/0 of an inch) the same running diameter as a 235/85/16 tyre
Both sizes have been standard fit by Land Rover for years

That's great chaps, many thanks.

As soon as I've paid for my Daughters wedding I'm having a set of those.

I have 265/75/16 insa turbos fitted on my boost alloys no problem. you just might need to adjust the stearing lock bolts on the front to stop them rubbing
