Title: Fitting Instructions
Post by: mike142sl on October 10, 2009, 08:56:15
I'm about to fit some roof rail extensions to my DII. Can anyone identify what the little pot with a brush next to it is in the instuctions here - on the bottom left of the second page

Well I guess no one knows?, Anyway I managed to fit them this weekend with only one minor cockup. Getting the interior trim off was the hardest part, strangely putting it back was easy?

Maybe, but it's strange that when you drill the hole you find a made to measure mounting plate and hole ready and waiting underneath? which begs the question - Why didn't they fit the longer rail in the first place?

Cos they can charge you extra for drilling at a later date.  ;)

It's touch up paint to coat the exposed metalwork.
