i fitted one to my td5 90. bought it from a company in bromsgrove. took me ages to get the right conector for the switch though

There was a write up in LRW a few years ago on how to fit one. IIRC Liverage British 4x4 did the fit. They might be able to give you some advice.

I've just fitted one to my Td5 90, I got everything I needed from Devon 4x4, screen, relays, new seal, switch and most importantly a wiring diagram. And it all arrived in the morning, the day after I placed the order!
Fitting was an ok job, not half as bad as I was expecting, just have to be slightly brave when fitting the screen
Devon 4x4 were so helpful, I phoned them a couple of times to check things, they are a fine example of how thing should be done.
Am looking forward to frosty mornings now.

Best mod you'll ever do. I wouldn't be without mine now.

I would like to do the same to my td5 because I need to fit a new rubber seal round the screen, if I have the screen out, I might change it.
How much did all the parts come to ?

Was about £250 for everything; heated screen, rubber, timer relay, contact relay, relay bases, switches, cable, fuse holder.

have been sitting in all day waiting for it, doesn't look like it's going to turn up now :( supposed to be going out tomorrow, don't look like thats going to happen  talk about sod's law !

ok FINALLY the screen's arrived, though no seal included in the 'kit' !! and no wiring diagram  must say i'm not too impresed :(

I have one fitted to mt 02 TD5 90, I don't know if there is something wrong with it, it only seems to heat 2 - 3 stripes on the screen when frosted up, I can see the stripes quite clearly, takes about 1min to appear, I remember one topic some time ago on the LRO site and someone there said that if you offroad with a heated screen you can damage it due to the movement of the cab.... any truth in that? you guys reckon my screen is knackered? takes hours to get frost off :(
cheers

Sounds like you've got a bad screen. Mine is great, defrosts really quickly and I've got a couple of dead lines.
Is yous fed from each end and return to earth in the middle or is it fed one end and return the other? The first type is the later version and is a little more reliable.
