i have a noticable amount of judering in my lower gears, when changing gear, any ideas?

Two things spring to mind:
1) A knackered UJ on one of the propshafts, which would be the cheaper solution.
2) A contaminated clutch plate. By contaminated I mean oil from the engine due to the crankshaft rear oil seal leaking.

ITS A DISCO!

OIl on the engine mounts or split engine mounts allowing the engine to wallow (or shuffle as it's known). Big wear in the transmission.
Assuming you can drive that is ;)
