I need choose a replacement for my Nokia N73.
Two problems
1. I have a hard wired Bury car kit that I want to continue using.
2. I run TomTom on my N73 as my only sat nav.
Looking over all the handset options I have been offered the only one that Bury offer a cradle for and claims to run TomTom is the Iphone . So are they any good as a business phone and Sat Nav? My current N73 has done both quite satisfactorily but the service provider no longer support it, and I can't get updated TomTom maps for it.

i phones are nothing but problems.
there is fierce competition in this market with phones that can do everything an i phone can do and more.

I have, and can't find anything else that fits the car and runs Tom Tom, unless you know different?

I phone is the dogs danglies, I use it on here all the time, since I've had it, I can watch live tv do all my e mails, also I'm told the tom tom app is good

Been running my iphone for well over a year now and i'm still happy with it.
Runninc CoPilot SatNav instead of TomTom as it was half the price with all the same features, doesn't work as well as a stand alone system, but still great for an all in one.
Email system is slick, easy and fine for business.

an iphone is very good, but if you get one make sure you connect it to the computer/itunes every few days otherwise it starts to do weird things

Re your issue. Are you able to get any transfer rights to move tomtom from the Nokia to the Iphone (basically buy it at discounted price?). The way you word the question makes me suspect you want to run your existing tomtom on the iPhone, which im 99.99% certain you cant as Nokia is Symbiand and Iphone is OSX Operating systems so A) they are not coimpatible, B)You cant install anything on an iPhone outside the ApStore (unless you crack "Jailbrake it")
TomTom on the iPhone is £59.99 but there is another well reviewed once called Copilot for £25.
In general the iPhone is great, I had no problems with mine and really hammer it.

I love my iPhone and have never had a problem with it, they do have the odd restriction here and there but I wouldn't swap it for the world at the moment.
I've seen TT on the iPhone and it works well, you do need the cradle with the speaker to make the most out of it though.

I have had iPhones from the day they were released. 2g, 3g and now the 3gs, i will NEVER have anything other than the iphone! Never had a single problem with mine, absolutely no restrictions on it. I also have TomTom running on it, very good, you don't need the tomtom accessories to use it. I also have an app that lets you install ALL the appstore apps for free, including the £100 TomTom. I know everything there is to know about the iPhone and there is NO competition.
