Went to see Carter USM at brixton last weekend. If they do another gig in 2010 I highly recommend them - I'd put it down at the best gig I've ever been too !

The tickets sold out in Feb though - so everyone was there to see the band  :cool:

Rammstein aren't at download - or at least they haven't been announced yet. They're doing a festival in austria and in switzerland on the same dates as download so unless they have three rotational sets (which is not uncommon especially for a band as big as rammstein) then it pretty much rules the out of download. They are a strong rumour for sonisphere in august though.

Do come to download rob, it'll be great! Take a day off get the substitute teacherr to step in - stick on a video about pythagoras for the little uns and come rock ouit at DL! You know it makes extremely good sense!

Rob

 :-k :-k Last night it said they were headlining Friday - now I can't find anything to support this.

The Head will let staff take a day of for non medical/non family reasons but we have to loose a days pay to cover the cost of the supply teacher - £165 a day!!  :twisted: :twisted:

Steve Earle....now he is one outlaw country artist...... :D  Exit O Guitar town  :dance:

He certainly looks very different to his days of 'Guitar Town', 'Exit 0' & 'Copperhead Road'

It was a solo, & acoustic gig, to promote his new CD of Townes van Zandt songs, & it was played solo & totally acoustic (well.... electro-acoustic guitar/mandolin)

For comparison;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPOOE02sovk&feature=player_embedded

The only 'oldies' of note were;

'My Old Friend The Blues'
'Someday'
'Guitar Town'

'Galway Girl' (said he's never drunk Cider though, even in his 'darkest days')
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7-PM_4aeE4

Then he finished off with 'Copperhead Road' for an encore :clap:
(like the second comment by 'strangefish music,!, so true!!)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=go6lqLTDu50&feature=related

Sadly, he as only on stage for 2 hours :-. (last time I saw him at the Irish Centre, in Leeds, he was on for almost 4 hours!!)

Not too sureabout the support act; Rhett Miller :-k

I've only heard of him once before,when a track of his was used in 'Scrubs'
