Title: 300 temp problem

went laning last night and noticed that when we were off road and at crawling speed that my temp gauge was reading nothing, but when we were on road sections the gauge went back up to just over the quarter mark, any one got any ideas ?

Try changing the thermostate.

take it back to the bloke who sold it you and get your money back, or check the coolent level, check the rad it may be full of [!Expletive Deleted!], like the owner, ha ha

cant take it back as the bloke who sold it to me was a bit of a nutter but what i do remember is his better half made a crackin cuppa and her flap jack was top, any way back to the problem fluid levels all ok and rad clear but thanks for the advice les.

when that crocodile bit a chunk out your wing down gospel oak, did it bite one of your hoses?????just a thought...............and it does have a thermostat in it, it might be knackerd but its  their........................................................................behind the flap jack in the glove compartment.

My disco did that.... stat was opening up even under the hot tap in the kitchen, and it looked closed. Now she sits half way all day. Cost me 7quid
