Title: Please could I have less than 5 minutes of everyones time?
Post by: muddyjames on November 27, 2009, 17:05:08
this thread isnt normally something I do but it is about something I am pationate about.

I restore canals for a hobby and love the open ones. the goverment is trying to sell off some of British Waterways assests and cut funding so slowly canals will become derelict again.

Please could you all sign this 10 downing street petition. Takes no more than 5 minutes of your time. It is currently 16th / 17th position out of 4500 petitions running!

Thank you all in advance

Ditto, hence why I do so much work restoring ones now to put something back for later years and to give me more canals to cruise on.

Thanks all.  :)

not necessarily they will probably just charge everyone alot of money to use it or not allow access through, alot of the river wye has privately owned sections which means the public do not have the right of access on to it in those areas and some owners in my area get funny if you take a canoe down that stretch of river because 'it might effect the fish' which makes them loads charging people fishing rights at hundreds of ££££'s
