Evening all,
As per the title. Looking at putting both on a stock Discovery 300 (96). The cheapest i can find a safari snorkel for is 170 + VAT cant for the life of me find the website again.... is this about right? I say safari as I'm relatively new to this and that being the only company i know for that.
Same with the tyres, after reading around on here and other places the AT's seem to be a good bet. I saw on-line (same place as the snorkel) tyre and alloy package for 140 a corner + vat of course.
Any pointers welcome.
Cheers
John

Paddocks are as good as any for snokels http://www.paddockspares.com/pp/DISCOVERY_1/Accessories/Safari_Snorkel_to_fit_Discovery_300TDI%2FV8_%281994-1998%29_%28non_ABS%29.html
or http://www.paddockspares.com/pp/DISCOVERY_1/Accessories/Safari_Snorkel_to_fit_Discovery_300TDI%2FV8_%281994-1998%29_%28non_ABS%29.html
Depending on ABS or non ABS? £165 or £175 plus VAT depending on which one.
Camskill for tyres http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m26b702s229p0 £98.90 for 235.70/16s
Or consider Cooper ST's at £77.30 each http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m26b935s229p0
I have mates that run these and they are great tyres.

B&Q do a cheap line in snorkels... though to prevent customers purchasing high numbers and selling on they are cunningly labelled "guttering".
Check out my Gallery for a step by step build process (admittedly for a V8... but I'm sure you can get creative!)

southdown are doing snorkels for £139 in P&P+VAT: http://www.southdown4x4.co.uk/Clearance.htm

I paid about £75 a corner for my ATs, 235/70R16.

Regarding Safari snorkels and ABS/non-ABS, you're best off opening the bonnet and comparing what you see to the diagrams in their instructions (Paddock have the exploded diagram page on their listings for the snorkels). Mine doesn't have ABS but it has the air box arrangement for a vehicle with ABS, so the non-ABS snorkel wouldn't have fitted!
