Hi, You're bang on with EP90 for the transfer box, main box uses ATF such as Dextron 2 spec. If you use anything thicker the gearchange will be stiff when cold & the oil pump does'nt like it. :)

Thanks for the reply, i will get some atf.
does it have to be dextron 2 or can i use a higher spec like dextron 3? or is it not worth it?
cheers

Best oil for them is Difflock stuff, I have it in both LT77s in the 90 and the RR makes the gearchange so much better.
It's not the cheapest though

Dextron 2 should be fine unless your're feeling flush! ;)
-
Thanks for the replys, dextron 2 it is as i am not that flush at the mo!!
like the sound of the diff lock stuff but its out of my price range, is it realy that much better?

I have run the difflock stuff for a few years worked well in an LT85 as well, makes the gearchange very good and seems to help fuel economy as well !! It doesn't need changing as often as the normal stuff, I found the ATF a bit "thin" for my liking, But it's not cheap.

I might look into the diff lock oils,
i could ask santa to bring me some :D
thanks for the help

I wouldn't waste my money, buy ATF and change it regular. Agricultural dealers are cheaper than motor factors or garages.

seconded. Too many peep's pushing expensive oils nowadays as above farmers marts or agri dealers for all your oils ovaline tractor oil for the engine. if it's good enough for tractors it's good enough for a landy.
