I have hi lift and recently been given a jack-all. The jackall needs a new peg and locking pin. Those hi-lift parts *look* very similar in size and design to jackall but haven't compared them on the bench side by side. The hi-lift repair kit seems easier to get hold of - anyone know if its good/safe for jackall?

I am no expert, but i have a jackall, and i believe the pin etc. are a bit bigger (longer), will be interesting to find out the answer though.

It is a good question and I must admit I'd be temptedd to try it but I'd advise others against it. Hmmm, that's me.

My experience is the pins tend to be different lengths as well as diameters

In that light then - any recommended easy click-e-click suppliers for jackall service kit ?

now i know thats not an easy one, i was looking a while back and not a great deal in the UK of Jackall now. Paddocks do some bits, but dont list a service kit, but they may be able to help?

Finally got around to ordering the service kit from brit-car website. It arrived this morning and has been fitted. Was initially a bit wary as it came in a britpart box with photocopied instructions from jackall. The components looked good enough quality and matched what I was replacing so all was fine and an easy job. The jack now descends smoothly and safely without manually poking and pulling the pegs and the risk of sudden auto jack down is reduced. I was given the jack by a friend in that state and because I think it's a nicer jack than my hi-lift decided the refurb was worth it.
