A colleague at work has a project where he needs a 6" 12v fan. I see Kenlowe list one, but has anyone got any ideas where else he might find one? It needs to shift a fair amount of air.
A little lateral thinking required!

if it needs to move a lot of air with a small fan it would be better with a centrifugal fan as opposed to the standard style, but then he'd need more room.
is it on a car?

Tripac do a 5" and a 6.5 inch radiator/oil cooler fans and they are around 50 quid from Merlin Motorsport .

Have had a big tripac on a kit car for an age and have had no complaints. Spec are on the tripac webby, the 6.5" seem to be about 130 to 350 CFM flow.

Thanks guys. The Merlin Motorsport ones look possible.
Mutz - It's for a little heater to demist the screen in a Mini Marcos! I suspect there won't be enough room for a centrifugal type.
I did think about a bathroom extractor fan. Those seem to be available as 12v DC. But not sure it would shift enough air. What do you reckon Graham?

how about PC cpu and case fans ? they are ~12volt and come in all sort of sizes and flow. The Marcos Heritage gaff is just down road from me - have always like them, do not think I'd fit in one now

Wouldnt use a bathroom one Steve air movement is minimal, as is the PC case fans.
For air movement you cant beat a Pug 406 fan, but not sure how large that is.
You could have a word with Brian and see if he knows of a 6" fan 12 volt in his line of work, pretty certain his would be 230/400 tho.
