as above thinking of changing my worn/claped out 300tdi for the good 200tdi in my rangie i know ill have to sort the lectrics out but the down pipes are differnt so can i put a 300 manifold on a 200 ??
-
A mate put a 300 on a 200 so i would say yes. It will work but not the same.A 300 comes in sooner so the 200 lost top end.
-
cant say my 200 ever lost out top end with the 300tdi turbo must of been a nackered pump not giving it enough psi at high rpm
was the best move i ever made, and only did it to make the through cab snorkel a neater job

They use the same gasket, so it should fit well and AFAIK the inlet plenum casting is the same tooling.

thanks for the replys everyone

There's more than just the exhaust!
Engine mounts are different: you'll need to cut the mounts off the rangie chassis to fit to the disco.
Intercooler & Radiator will need to come across as well.
The inlet manifold determines the air-filter you need, so check that too
(I've a 200tdi in a 300tdi vehicle)

Eh :? the airbox feeds the Turbo, so surely it's the exhaust manifold indirecltly that determines which airbox you need. AFAIK the same casting was used for the plenum on both engines.
Are the 200 and 300 the same block?
