HA ha ha i know what you mean

Depends on the time of year and the type of journeys you do. Mine comes in between 18 - 25mpg (auto box) but only do short trips in the main.

found the manual for it! it states 31.7 mpg for extra urban, with the average speed at 39mph i think, which apart from the occaisional trip down to edinburgh is probably average-ish speed for me. not too bad i spose  and its auto, i can see me getting lazy!!

ive got a 2000 td5 auto i know they say something stupid like 31 mpg you will never get this in 3 years owning it. the best ive ever got were 26 mpg which were all motoway work goin to devon and keeping the speeds legal but the worst i ever got were 12 mpg but that were towing a very big tri axle trailer with about 3 tons on felt bloody heavy.
but your normal running about anywere from 18-22mpg

What do you mean "getting" lazy!!
Ha!

Best I ever get out of mine has been just under 27mpg after a trip to Devon plus bobi'n about whilst there on holiday. Best with a trailer behind has been 24mpg after scout camp - both summer months.
Worst I ever got was just over 16mpg one January and after the weather we've had recently I suspect a similar result next time I fill up

thanks for the feedback guys, the manuals are always optimistic i guess! oh, and yes Dan, "getting" lazy thanks mate!!!
