Post by: barmiebrumie on January 17, 2010, 22:03:31
Just thought I would share a moment with you all as I was quite surprised how good my little 90 was when it pulled a fuel tanker out of our driveway @ workin the ice & snow, it wieghed in at just under 22 tonnes , still got the original 2-1/4 petrol engine as well

There's loads of these types of post this time of year.

Great and well done for sorting someone out, don't get me wrong.

What does it actually take to pull a heavy load?  1 person can pull a jumbo jet which is about 350 tonnes. Rolling loads don't take much moving at all.  Axle deep in clay is 1.2 times the mass of the stuck vehicle.

Well done for helping someone out though.
