Since fitting a new steering pump, my steering has slowly got lumpier, it no longer goes from side to side smoothly, and it now doesn't center itself after cornering. Now it may be coincidence that it seems to have got worse since the new pump was fitted, and at the weekend i bled the box to ensure no air was trapped, and all looked OK.
Now, is it a problem with the steering box, or could it be with track rod ends etc. At the weekend i gave everything a good check over, and the track rod ends, both front and back, seem a bit stiff but not sure how stiff they should be, and they have seen better days.
So before i go and start ordering parts, and end up replacing the whole steering system, i thought i would get some guidance from you helpfull chaps.
Cheers for now

Try lubricating the two U/J's on the steering column with oil (3 in 1) not wd40

That did the trick, oiled them last night, and this morning no stiff steering and centering again as it should.
Many thanks.
