Title: Long Ranger
Post by: Crispywombat on January 18, 2010, 19:07:57
Hi,

I'm thinking ot buying the Long Ranger http://www.longranger.net/page4/page3/page3.html kit for my disco, has anyone any experience of the kit. I know people have made their own pick up without the kit but I like the lines and I want a pick up not a tray back.

Thanks,

Rob

They are called Gulf State Grilles, Saudi Grilles, etc.

Rare and costly as this D2 example shows...

D1 grilles are out there, glad I've got mine...

if you have the tools alrady your looking at approximatly 50 worth of steel around 98 for a defender slidey window and another 90 or so quid for a fuel tank from a 90. i had an alli one made for me and it cost alot, aside from the bling factor i dont see how its better than the 90 unit and disco tanks are a horrible shape. that is if your going to bobtail it. if your cleaver and work fast it could be done in a weekend.

not to hard if you have half an ounce of common sence, and are ok with welder and grinder.

made mine to this state when i was 18

not the nicest job ever but i diddnt spend silly money on a plastic kit when you have everey thing you need.
