Sticking the head back on a 300TDi tonight and one of the bolts that clamps the injectors down let go with a bang. I'm sure I'd checked and double checked the torque too.
Anyone else ever had this?
I'm going to need to replace it now :evil:before I can finish.

Shouldnt be to bad with an easy out?? Famous last words!!!
-
happened to me at the weekend got it out with mole grips so wasnt to bad but still make the job hard
-
Managed to hammer a socket over it, all the banging loosened up the thread lock.
Looking at it the bolts are "necked" in the middle, making them weaker. Is this deliberate?
Anyone know where I can get another, or will a normal stud do just as well?
-
Normal bolt will do but alway better to put the right bit back. Just need one off another head, ive got one if any good to ya?
