There really are people out there that will happily be sucked in by spam, phising and other cyber spawned scams.
I have a post on my blog that details about importing a parcel into the UK from the USA and how tracking a parcel sent via USPS throws up a unique issue that can certainly cause undue stress to the unwary. The post explains what to expect and what to do. By the comments the info seems to have helped a bunch of folk yet other comments are from people who fail to follow the howto and just paste their personal details and parcel info in the hope I will sort it out (sometimes I do, sometimes I edit their post and blog it, mostly I have to delete them because of the info they contain!).
Today I get some guy using my webby facilities to email me and he is clearly under impression I am a representative of parcelforce! ... I have no doubt I could get funds paid to me from this guy because he wishes to pay the outstanding import charges on his parcel that seemingly I am holding for him :shocked: :police: :angel:

I once had someone who wanted to buy something from me. I wanted them to use PayPal. They emailed me their credit card details, name and address!

Had a guy buy a 4x4 off me a few months ago.
Payed a grand for it by a bank transfer having never seen it (was a classified add), sent a bloke in a recovery truck up to collect it.
Never saw the bloke, cash came through fine. It's still in the country and not for export.
There's still trusting people out there. Kinda gives me faith in people ;)
