Title: 300tdi clutch...........
Post by: Disco-Ron on February 08, 2010, 20:26:22
I will over the next week or so be fitting a new clutch in my truck, i'm removing the engine to do it, as its simpler for me to do that rather than drop the box oin my head.... i have already bought 5 piece clutch kit, oild filter fuel filter...... rear main oil seal....... is there anything else i should do while the motor is out...??? it recently had new timing belt and pulleys.....  i may be temtped to remove and fefit the sump, as it's damp around the gasket area.... although apparently its sealer only......

your thoughts please...............

the spigot bearing is the 5th part of the clutch kit...... i'll consider the gearbox seal if it looks damp when the engine is out.... thanks,
