Title: Disco Gearbox oil filler??

Hi Does anyone know the size of the torx spanner required to check the oil filler on the side of a manual box Disco 300tdi,  '95?

If you can wait untill the morning ill climb under mine for some reason i bought my torx bits back so can tell you then.

I think Scott meant to say T55, if you're stuck I've got one here you can borrow, just off M6 J4.

FILTER .... NO (or yes see chris post below)
FILLER..... YES A SQUARE FILLER PLUG, NOTHING SPECIAL.

Yes there is a filter on the disco LT77 box, on the bottom of the box there is a large flange bolt, undo this (with the box drained obviously!) and there is a mesh filter inside. Only worth doing once in a blue moon though.

Yes, as Saffy said, the filler plug is just a square headed plug.

just a quick one but how do you por the oil in silly little space up the side there?

transfer the oil into one of them little botles with the long nozle on the top and you can fit it up the gap then.
