Title: SRS light keeps coming on....
Post by: cominsa on February 22, 2010, 21:38:27: only when I move the seat back to get in (SWMBO has the seat too far forward). The light comes on however it turns off after about 3 trips. I have checked the connections to see if anything is loose but can't see anything. Any ideas :huh:

Its a 2001 TD5

they are all tied in with the same systerm useing the air bag ecu so it will bring on the srs light

Post by: SWEETY on March 03, 2010, 12:48:48: My SRS light came on again & wouldn't go out after the norm tap :evil:gave the wire for the seat belts a good wiggle & still no joy so unplugged them & sprayed the plugs with contact cleaner & it has done the job so must have been a dry joint just thought it might help someone ;)

Post by: muddyjames on March 06, 2010, 08:48:22: when playing with air bag wires you should really disconnect the battery and leave it for 10minutes and then look at the wires and reconect and stand well back when putting the battery back on. If you dont there is a chance the air bags could go off.
