Time for a DMCA takedown notice?   Very neat bit of rigging there - presumably you put a snatch block on something behind the tree then ran the line back to the tree?

I do wonder if people are reticent to post videos of techniques on Youtube in case of the inevitable crowd of detractors, for whom you can't do anything right.

Might get a winch one day. A long, long way off though - want to get a HD rear bumper, sort the manky bits, get the winch bumper brackets fettled so it fits properly (and the steering guard straightened) and swap to Kumho KL71s first!

[-X it's my magic dyneema rope pushing it. For the asking price the least you can expect is for it to unspool itself, do the work and then coil back up to sleep.
For my situation a winch is a rarely used (recovery) tool, but piece of mind that's it there and a fully capable beast and has been used in anger enough to justify itself. It has also done work duty like stump pulling and illegal parked vehicle relocating ;)

it's a short BOAT located on the outskirts of Trowbridge. In previous years I moved over half dozen storm fallen trees from blocking that lane before I had winch fitted - just using chain and the truck. Few hours work on my own - was getting to the point of wishing I hadn't started when I kept coming across them. I moved that one in video because peep tend to drive around them if then can and damage the drainage skirts of the lane.
