Before anyone can answer that you have to ask yourself

A) What terrain do i drive over most and want my dampers to perform best at?

And

B) How much money have i got to spend.

Safe in the knowledge of the above we all can reccomend the best for you.

When I started off I went with Britpart +2, then went to rough country +5  but have finished up with OME +5 with Gwyn lewis mounts for the rear, should have bought the OME from the start, Brilliant shock, would have saved me a fortune not buying the others first.

I use monroe 4x4 adventure shocks. Mine is standard hight and they work well. Cost about £38 each.

Hi

With a few quid to spend and if you could afford it then the OME's are the one to go for.

But the likes of Decarbon, and Terrafirma are good alternatives. The monroe's i did like but that was untill one broke on me. And the Procomps are as soft as jelly. I would advise against the Britpart line. You get what you pay for.

I've got Britpart cellular dynamics and they are a bit crashy but not as stiff as the proComps I had. I've found they go a bit soggy once run in but work well for years, untill they rust.

I've had DeCarbon and can't fault them, for cheapish shocks I say those.  Money no object then Billies or Koni adjustables.

On advice from a few others I gave Gwyn Lewis a call and ended up buyin a full challange setup off him. Give him a ring, he's really helpfull and won't talk you into buyin owt you don't need. All his stuff is top notch  :D

I'm definitely a fan of Gas dampers.... from my days as a Trials (CCV) driver.

Of the ones I've tried, DeCarbons have been the most resilient to the abuse I give them.
