[!Expletive Deleted!] all.
Have a look on ebay at the price they are selling for (not the price being asked). A 12 year old truck is too old for commercial use which put's it right in the house clearance / pikey price braket.

have a poke round the transit owners forum http://fordtransit.org/forum/

You seem to able to get a lot of van for your money, neighbour just bought a fairly decent ex-bt work shop van with a sliding porch type affair on roof and other features for not much monies.

You might strike lucky and find someone looking for a base vehicle for a camper conversion, but TBH if things like that ex-BT van are about for not much money then I think I'd pick one of them over a plain Transit as a base vehicle. I think you'll be best off breaking it, sad to say.

If it looks tidy and MOT'd up to a grand
If it looks like mine, bit brown around the edges with high miles 500- 600
No mot, untidy needing work, around £400 tops (only cause of your low miles)
My opinon only, but I keep looking as I selling mine soon ;)

pikey price braket.
Never seen a pikey in anything more than 4 years old
If you want top money, put a pick up bed on it ;) or even better a tipper ;)
