Title: Bush cables
Post by: Sammy_D on April 15, 2010, 00:27:00
Morning everyone

I am pondering on weather or not to buy myself some bush cables. They seem an awful lot of money for what they are. Or... are they worth it?

Ive seen them on the bay for around £40-50. Does that seem right?

Is there anyother options? Do you have bush cables? if so are they worth the price?

Thanks

Sammy D

Not really worth the money in the UK, where would you NEED them  :-k

Different if your a tree surgeon or something like that

I'd check on the legalities too, I'm sure there are some guidlines on whether you can drive on the public roads with them  :-k

you can get all the kit from B&q for about 12 quid I made a set about a year ago.. you will need a light bar or roof rack to conect them to and you will need a turn buckle on each line so you can detach them easly and also keep them tight.. I have been in some heavy bush in my time and they work great they lift all the bush over the top of the vehicle.

yes they are illegal on road

Also, if you are pushing through some heavy foliage because you can with the wires on and dont spot a tree branch, they can do some nice damage to the wings and what ever the other end is attatched to as the tensile strength of them is more than the tearout force on the wings or the light bar bolts on the roof!

Just remember if the tracks you go down are byways then the same laws apply there as they do on tarmac.

These are "NOT ROAD LEGAL"
The kits on Eblag are designed to be stored along the gutter when not in use to keep the law happy.
