Hi peps
ive got an disco2 with ACEwhen turning engine off im getting strange noises they are coming from under the car somewhere in front of the rear nsd wheel grunting and wheazing not all the time and sometimes its worst than others i walk away from the car and its still making the noises it seems to be worst when i run it from cold and do a short trip any ideas
thanks
this car seems to have more complaints than a doctors surgery

The ace valve block is under the drivers seat see if it's round there the noise
This is the thing I've a td5 hardly ever goes wrong I take it off road
my dad has a td5 and his is never out of the garage and he looks after it but costs him a bomb in repairs
I think you either get a good landrover or a bad one

Could be the compressor for the suspension, i know when i turn the ignition off and get out of my D2 it makes a noise as it fills the airshocks, and occasionally hisses as it purges itself

so is that ok then the noises i mean or does it mean the compressor is on the way out thanks

Its normal. The pump/compressor regulates the amount of air in the suspension as it adjusts to road/cornering conditions. Once you pull up and stop the compressor returns the system to standard status

thanks thats a relief
