what is the big round and what look's like rubber doughnut thingy
on the front axle of my disco :-k

It's called a harmonic damper.

Yep, mine failed to make it back on after I fitted a QT diff guard :)

I never noticed any differance when I removed it to fit a QT guard.

oh well look like its for the filing cabinat labeled 'B' then
i am going to fit qt guard and new steering damper tomorrow
