Title: 200tdi down on power??
Post by: howlinmadmartin on May 03, 2010, 16:16:05: hi guys just after some thoughts really i have a 200tdi disco 1 with 207000 on the clock and over the last couple of hundred miles she seems down on power. it still pulls well in 1st to 4th but seems to lack the grunt needed to pull from 50 onwards in 5th, it feels like there is no turbo in 5th. the turbo is working alright and temp is good and responsive when climbing hills and the like. i did wonder whether it was because it was due a service in a few hundred miles. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Post by: doda456 on May 03, 2010, 17:56:59: Give it a full service and see whats its like then, So you will have to change the air, oil and fuel filters and also check the sediment filter

Post by: howlinmadmartin on May 13, 2010, 18:32:42: well finally got round to servicing the motor last night, the air filter was like it had been though muddy water and not changed since and as i haven't been through any yet i can only assume the previous owner didn't change it when he should have. and after draining the horrid rusty water out of the sediment filter which i also doubt wasn't done by previous owner she now drives like a good un once again. thanks for the reply's guys.
