Sort of been, or was it JEEP-Fest-North at Tong.

Think the JEEP-Club boys built the rock-crawling course that's there

The brother-in-law had a Jimny (now gone) which was run in conjunction with an American spec Samurai.
That's been ripped apart & re-built.
Hi-Lux axles
Spring-over conversion
Super Swampers (36inch)
Still got the 1400cc engine though

Hi Chris

I went to one when it was at Trentham Gardens. Really good weekend and if you don't want to get 'jimbo' dirty the Managing Director of Suzuki GB will take you round the off-road course 8)

If it comes to Trentham again might take one of the Vitaras

Hi,

Total Off Road allways has plenty of Suzuki,s featured doing some crazy things. The back page is good for some amazing pictures of what can go wrong. August's has six pics of Suzukis

Also in that ed. is a Range Rover based Lightweight    8)

The road books they do look great but I've not tryed any yet  :(

Would love to have a play in a Suzuki one day.

Colin

The Lightweight...

Is that the one with the yellow bits on it, and long travel suspension ?

There are plenty of Suzukis going round Tong if you ever get the chance to go (as Richard has mention I think).

Excellent for totally going mad round there, would'nt do it my Disco though :(

Ahh..

We spent a day with the TOR boys at the LR Experience in Devon for a photo shoot.  That lightweight was entered in the Highland Military Challenge too, performed quite well from what I saw.  (We were busy getting stuck elsewhere 8) )

Tigger will be in next month's TOR... pictures from the same shoot.

Brother-in-law has just been the subject of a photo-shoot with his highly modified 'rock-crawling' style Samurai at Tong for either 'Total Off-Road', or 'Off Road & 4 Wheel Drive'

Sadly it's still on the original 1300cc, but he's starting to ask questions about either the Essex (3.0) & Cologne (2.8) Ford V6's, or the good ol' Rover V8 and auto-box transplants.

Expected publication date November.
