contact your local trading standards on the ground that they are not selling goods fit for what there desighned for or somethimg like that as any landrover is a multy use  vehical for use on and off road and if they sell parts for these typs of cars then they should be fit for that use ie coverd

theoretically speaking though chris you havent really used them off road because green lanes are still public highways,so therefore not really off road

I had a pair of Pro Comps fail a few years ago, I emailed the folks that I bought them off, and they were very unhelfull to say the least.

I then email Pro Comp USA, and had a good whinge to them and attached the emails I recieved from there UK supplier.
The following day I had a nice phone call from the UK mob offering to replace them for the cost of the postage.

Might be worth an e mail or two.
Needless to say I dont use Pro Comp any more.

Has the warranty changed on procomps then?
Last time I heard they were life time, not one year and they were pretty good at replacing them. Like Bob696, a friend had the same in mid Wales, where the prospect of free replacements wasn't much consolation. Coincidently, all the procomp dampers with damaged eyes/pin mounts I've seen so far were all fitted with stiff polyurethane bushes. Leaks, rust and flaking chrome  though are another matter.
