Well, I've just taken the series 3 in for it's MoT, which expired in December. Its been sat on the drive ever since, so I'm expecting a few reasons for it to fail. Chassis solid enough (galv'd) but I'm sure there'll be a few niggles.
It started beautifully this afternoon, and after a bit of smoke ran perfectly clearly. Better, in fact, than my TDi does sometimes!
List to follow, no doubt!
Cheers

Or the vehicles have to stick themselves together
Got the 88" to sort out for mot myself, just need to clear enough room to get to it
-
Well, it nearly passed...
Fail list:
Indicators not flashing as required
Side light switch wired incorrectly (headlights come on at sidelight position and vice versa)
Windscreen washer not spraying onto window (blocked pipe)
Exhaust insecure - it's been held on by a coat hanger for the last couple of MoT's
Front brakes out of balance (one's at 100, the other's at 130)
Hand brake not effective enough & too much travel - I've just changed the shoes and not adjusted it properly.
Emissions - it's kicking out 3.7%, and should be 3.5% apparently. Then I reminded the guy it was a 1972, and he said - oh it doesn't matter then!
So I've left it with him to sort the few bits out - I don't have time to sort it for a few weeks and I'd like to get it sold fairly soon.
Very pleased so far though - cheaper than my old 90 was to get through!
Cheers

Well done, not too expensive then. :D

Could've been worse

Are series just failed on the front wheel shimes and a bit of welding not bad a. Three days later petrol all over the place fuel tank gone that thin it was like a sponge. "new tank"

Well, it's passed. Not sure how much it's gonna cost yet, as the guy hadn't got the bill ready. I'll see on Monday if I get back from work in time.
So, now it's for sale.
It's in the For Sale (http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=7962) section on a number of forums, so hopefully it should fly out the door!
Cheers
