right.... looking at getting a Safari Snorkel but i am confused on which one i need, i have got a 1998 v8 with no abs but by the looks of this website http://www.famousfour.co.uk/foursport/snorkels.php
the one designed for discos with abs looks like it would fit better as it looks like it would fit onto my air box. (every one keeping up so far lol)
But why is there 2 different it dont show where the abs model would fit :?
I think that makes sense lol
Cheers rob

The non-ABS snorkel has a shorter external bit on the wing and comes in to connect intot he airbox where the ABS control unit sits on the inner wing.
To get around this the ABS capable snorkel is longer and reaches nearer to the front of the wing before coming into a newly created hole in the side of the airbox.
Probably nothing stopping you fitting an ABS type snorkel but there are more Non-ABS ones out there secondhand...
Hope this helps...

You might well find the ABS one is a better fit - mine doesn't have ABS but it needed the ABS-type snorkel.

Does anyone have a 200tdi safari snorkel template by any chance? I got a snorkel but really dont want to cock up the hole cutting!!
I am happy to trace and return it instantly if anyone has one they can lend me!
