Love that vid :D

If they had diffs on each side I'd have one parked in the driveway in a blink - can be bought for about 2K with full swim gear

Blimey. I know they could swim, but that buoyancy is surprising. You would think they wouldn't just pop back up like a giant green cork!

I drove one at a 4x4 day in the Forrest of dean, for a stag doo. I remember (passenger time) going up a hill with a mate holding on as we seemed to be going vertical.

Nice vid.

If I remember right they came with buoyancy tanks, we grounded one on the port getting it onto a LSL (Sir Tristram) boy did we get in trouble, it sunk   well technically we thought it would float but it sunk enough to wedged between the LSL bow drop and the quay slope...... tide came in enough after 20 minutes to save the day  and it was driven onto the ship.

I remember Salvage Squad rebuilding one of these a while ago - didn't a lot of them lose the swimming gear later on, as it was a load of extra complexity and they didn't really need it at the time?

I'd love one but the lack of diffs would make it a bit useless. I know there were tricks like driving over a lump of timber (or up a kerb) to reduce the wind-up but it'd be a pain to have to do that every few miles while getting it to a pay and play!
