Title: Recommendation for a specialist seat
Post by: dod51e on July 29, 2010, 23:00:22
As the title would suggest I am after a recommendation for a specialist type of seat for a mates Disco II.

He does a serious mileage on standard roads and very rough roads. Looking for something like a Recarro or similar that provides good support, for the off-road bits, but still with as near 'arm-chair' comfort as possible for the distance driving; not a standard bucket seat though.

It would help if it fitted straight on to the Disco seat mounts also!

Any idea's chaps?

A few years ago at Billing there was an Israeli company selling truck style front seats to fit 5 door Discos.
They were air sprung and had a dial  under the seat so you could set the firmness/softness of the pneumatic damper.
I thought they were fantastic, but a bit pricey, and they wouldnt fit my 3 door disco.
I'll have a mooch around and see if i can find any info for you.
