I replaced the damaged front right indicator on the 97 disco earlier. The replacement was non genuine (bearmach), I was puzzle by the original having an unexpected additional bulb fitting wired up. The bulb is tiny and right in outer corner - the replacement hasn't no such thing. What was it for?

Wasn't that for the 5w sidelights for non UK spec models? Think it was US/Japan?

:dunno: I don't think the truck was a grey import as it has some paper work and was bought and serviced in London from new I think, but it is an auto which often where foreign market. So they didn't all have them then?

I'm sure I've seen a few of these on the road. In the US they are called cruising lights and come on with sidelights so perhgaps they are just for export spec.

Might be US only - mine's Jap and doesn't have them.

I had a better look-see and they appear to be a lame adage by a previous owner, they did come on with side lamps - pretty pants so have disabled.
