Title: Trailing Arm Brackets (Axle End)
Post by: MuckingFuddy on April 27, 2005, 20:36:41
Does anyone know if or where you can buy the brackets that are welded on to the rear axle to take the trailing / radius arm? I have snapped the near side one off and its not possible to repair it due to excessive rot. :?:  :?:

If they still donot make them yet you could always use a big cable tie. they work wonders. on landrovers must have about 1000 over my one allready holding it together. could not tell you on the disco lost count.

Niel,
Is it in good nic with out much backlash? if so where abouts are you mabe i will come and get it. also how much? :?:
I have an axle from a RR Classic that a friend has given me but the shock mounts are facing forward on one side and back on the other side, so its no use.
Thinking about it if it has got loads of backlash i will just swap the diffs

Thanks

Eddie

You can just relocate the upper damper mount on the offside (on the chassis).  I ran an opposed-damper axle on my 90 for quite some time, and it was fine.

Axle will fit this, and the shock mounts are already right!
