has anybody felt the need to flush an intercooler out,i have a spare one and thought about flushing it out and swapping it with my present one ,or would it be a waste of time and effort :!:  :!:

No it's been the topic of discussion before, not about the nessesity, take that as read, but about what to use.

part of one of the big service on defender I think, got a tub of alcohol to clean mine and see if any difference  just not had time to get it off. when I undone the bottom pipe their was a little bit of a greasy coating inside, so assume same inside the intercooler (mine is a defender)

i noticed the inlet pipe on mine had oiley goo in it so thought it may be in the cooler as well,what would be best to clean it out with,engine flush or any suggestions?????????????????????????

good ole thiners or even parafin will do

if ur gonna use thinners make sure its completly dry n leave it for a while to flash of as that wouldnt do to much good in a diesel  :?  :?  :?  :?  :?  :shock:  :shock:  :shock:
