Title: Winch solenoid choice
Post by: Hightower on September 10, 2011, 17:39:09
I currently have the Warn solenoid pack located in the engine bay of the Td5.  However, I need to free up some space under there for the next mod.

Having had a look, I seem to have the choice of Albright or Durite solenoids.  For the amount of winching I actually do (which is not very much) is it really worth shelling out for the Albrights which are nearly twice the cost of the Durite versions?

Views would be welcome.

For the 7 or 8 times i have had the winch used in anger i still consider the Albright a good investment. On a odd thought, You have the winch for the peace of mind that if you'll need it you have it. To have an albright is the peace of mind that when you need the winch it will work not just click at you in a micky taking manner.

Got mine from Devon 4x4, most helpful and postage was super quick.
