Whilst we always try to keep Mud-Club free of party-politics, don't forget that there is a general election tomorrow as well as a lot of local council elections.
Your vote is important, and despite what we sometimes feel, can make a difference to the way the country is run, especially at local government level.
Use your vote tomorrow... every one counts.

That was a party political broadcast by the Mud Party :D

Couldn't agree more, wouldn't dream of encouraging people to vote for any particular party, but to take your responsibility seriously and make the effort to get to the polling station.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/election has all the latest and lots of helpful information/ tools to help you with your choice.

For the parliamentry election, I considered spoiling my vote, just because there isn't a "None of the above" box.
In the end, I voted a party that doesn't stand a chance of winning, but has some policies I strongly agree with. This party also wouldn't have a clue how to run the country. My theory being that the more votes this particular party gets, the more notice the winning party will take of their core policies. All very cryptic, I know, but I don't want to be accused of making recommendations on who people should vote.
BTW, it was a postal vote, that's how I've already voted.

Timmay for PM!
Oh, sorry, that was something else wasn't it :)

how many postal votes did you get? listening to the radio yesterday i hear that most of the marginal seats have seen up to a 200% increase in the amount of postal voters  and that one bloke applied for and got postal ballot papers for 12 areas
-
Yes, we'll be voting. If anyone read The Sunday Express (1st May) they would have seen yours truly featured on pages 10 and 11 with 3 other ladies as "Freelander Woman" I'll have to vote now :D
-
There's an election on tomorrow? :(bigshock):
That would explain why I have to keep changing channels to avoid the Party Political Broadcasts every 5 minutes then!! :D
The wife's just told me it made the back page of the Stornoway Gazette last week, next to the bit about 2 of Murdo Mcleod's sheep having triplets again!! :(biglaugh):
I'll get my coat..........................

If you want a bit of fun, as part of Channel 4's 'Election Unspun' series, they have a nice webiste called 'Factcheck'
http://www.channel4.com/news/factcheck/
This basically tells the truth about most of the headline promises and arguments that all of the parties are pushing. In the spirit of fairness, they all get it in the neck ;-)

My vote may not make much difference but I will certainly be making my mark on the voting form ,

It makes as much difference as anyone else's ;-)

well, today's the day chaps :)
Since timmay's not standing I'm not going to try and persuade you to vote any given way, but suffice to say that this is the time and the place to have your voice heard, choose your opinions and stick with 'em :)

I've just noticed the new logo, very good Daz :D
-
Logos up to date and topical as usual.
I've placed my x in the box of the ones I distrust the least.
