hello there

recently ive noticed nearly everyday someone asking me to add them to my contact list and each time the text is the same (more or less)

I (from forum) add me to your list

the names are always female, and i stupidly let one in once for bout 2 mins and all the messages were links to porn sites or shopping sites.

swiftly moved to the ignore list but its a pain in the bum

has anyone else here exeperienced this pain in the rse?

yeah, i used to get that
change your status to invisible, and add anyone on your contact list to the  visible list, and they will be able to see you.

I've turned ICQ off now. Got some really stupid requests. Its a shame because its a cool way to communicate. We have folks in the US and have now gone to messenger due to all the hassle with ICQ :?

I used to on ICQ but ditched it about a year ago because of the all the rubbish coming through, even though I was always invisible to eveyone except those on my contacts list!!

Shame really cos it used to be good on there.  :(

Just manged to persuade ICQ to open itself & got the upgrade to version 5, but still the silly messages come.

Does anyone know how 'real-time' ICQ's on-line list is??

It's just that 'Frankie-Boy' was on here this morning, so I thought I'd have a quick chat with him on ICQ, but they didn't show him as on-line.

Nelly (Neil) was on though, so a bit of a natter there :)

it depends as frankie may have been in invisible and you werent in his visible list
