Title: Cutting Checkerplate.....?
Post by: Paul on January 10, 2004, 22:24:10
Hi Guys,

I've aquired a sheet of ali Checker plate the question is:

What is the best way to cut it...?

I have tried metal cutters and they don't make a mark on it :?

Can I cut it with a grinder or will the ali clog the disc...

Any ideas... :?:

A grinder will be problematic I would say.

Do you have a jigsaw ?  That's what I normally use

Use a normal metal blade.  They are normally labelled for use with Aluminium.   I have on occasion used wood blades but they tend to go blunt very quickly.
