Title: insurance - who to go with
Post by: LOULA on May 06, 2005, 15:09:43
We have a modified series III  with winch which has been lifted.

It is due for insurance renewal and having told our current insurers Lancaster they will not insure us, neither will sureterm direct

Can anyone help who do you insure with and contact details

thank you

I'm with lancaster. A 110 with a winch didn't cause them any problems   :?

I reckon some companies make it up as they go along.
Sureterm do my Disco with all of the mods listed.

I use Snowball (also called Secure) and I pay £208 on a VERY VERY modified hybrid.

They even inusured my winches for me for theft!

Top company!  :D

The only two who would even look at the 101 were Adrian Flux and CIS.  In the end CIS were cheaper and had a better policy.  We insure our other two cars with them as well.  They don't have a problem with any of the mods on the Disco (suspension lift, etc) apart from the chip, which I pay a slight premium for.

Have now got the series insured. I tried lancaster (previous insurer) no good with the mods, so tried sureterm and again no good with the mods. Tried adrian flux, hooray all mods covered and it was cheap, almost the same price as lancaster without the mods listed.  Thanks for all your advise.
