Hi All.
DEFLEX polyurethane bush kit, orange comfort set.
What are your thoughts.
-
Had a set on mine for the past year and a bit, it has stiffened up the ride.
Was impressed with what came in the kit for £60 :D (Front/rear radius arms, A frame bushes, pan hard bushes, shock bushes)
-
So less body roll then Phil, how does it handle the bumps (on road) :?:

Indeed less roll, but you still know the bumps are there :?
-
So, how much of a job is it to fit a new set of bushes - time / difficulty?
-
It depends how well the old ones come out, fiting the new bushes isn't to hard.
Most of my bushes needed to be burnt out, which seems to takes ages, and the smell of burning rubber :? I did my radius arms myself, front and rear took a day, I got someone else to do the A-Frame and pan hard bushes :D
(still haven't fitted the shock rubbers :? )

Difficult and time consuming then

:D Ive just had a look on the net for a set of polys for my rangie.. M.O.T due soon and could do with a proper set of bushes with correct radious arm angles ( the bushes that are attached to the f/r arms on the outriggers ).
Found a set i fancy not a bad price for complete kit, also priced up f/r radious arms with angled ends ( + 30% ) from QT Services  be a while before i get them.
With them fitted eventually, i know the front prop will bind, so instead of forking out loads of money on the scorpion extreme double cardon prop, ill get a local prop specialist to make me one should be cheaper than Scorpions prop... i hope.
 Also on my wish list is a pair of rear dislocation cones and a rear ARB Locker or Detroit Locker. Although the locker will be in the new year, unless the bank manager has a good weekend.

Hi Colin I fitted a set af Deflex polybushes on my Range Rover and it has tightened up the ride ,I cant say it's any worse on the bumps but it definatley tows better. They took just an afternoon to fit ,the hardest job was to remove the old rubber bushes 8)
-
if you find someone who has a bushwacka bush removal tool its not a bad job trouble is not many have them cos their £200 ish
-
Thanks everyone for the input sofar, just thinking of doing it, not sure it'll make much difference to my motor at its present mileage 72000.
-
I'm sure you'll find a difference if you fit them Colin  go one you know you want to :)
-
Will probaly do it but I 'm terrible for starting something and not finishing.
Have a tank guard and a Light bar, oh and a wading kit, sitting at home not touched.
